Monday 14th December, was the lucky day.. We were off to spend four weeks in the sun away from the cold, and the stress that Britain brings. It truly was exciting knowing that we were getting away from it all. Arrival there was crazy as the immigration officers (like always) are rude and can really make your arrival to Jamaica an annoying one before the holiday has even begun. Below are a few pictures from the holiday that I dare to share with you the others will remain personal to me until you hack my laptop (iJoke).

Before I left for Jamaica I had to make certain that my personal statement went off in hope of getting in to Uni' come September 2010. All was good and well as it got sent off on Saturday 12th December (Two days prior to take off).

So far so good, I've had three offers back from the ones highlighted in pink above..
still awaiting two more offers, fingers crossed though : )

Yes, I went shopping today, whilst on my travels I went to HMV and bought this. Please believe it when I say I do not go out and buy albums, I was due to buy this album on it's debut release date last Monday 12th October, Unfortunately I didn't get round to it.. So today was the day I managed it (A week later).

Yes, I'm finally BACK! I've just been really busy with work and college, so much so I barely have much time for myself these days, but I've taken the time out tonight to update this blog. It's been over a month since I last posted any updates on the life of Shanai. A-Level results were appalling but better than I might have expected due to the amount of things I had going on for me at the time. No excuses though, you get out of life what you put in. The results then, were: CDDD - "Terrible I know!" Though I'm not going to dwell, just better it. Since September I opted for a change. I embarked on a regime that would better my life in the long run. The change entailed me deleting facebook, no longer going on msn, not answering my phone within the week, completely dedicating myself to college over work and intensive revision. It's tiring, but I'm coping well. The reason behind such a regime is because I DO NOT by any means want to be in college resitting exams for a third year or even be in Manchester at all.
I am opting for London to go Uni or near about - That's the only motivation for me right now! On the subject of London then, I didn't end up going to London Carnival 09' which I can't believe I'm even typing because it was something I looked forward to for months. The reason being was just because I felt for me at the time the vibe that I wanted wouldn't have been there and due to this simple and pathetic excuse I didn't go. No worries though Next year I'll be there by hell or high water! A major plus side to going next year is that I'll be EIGHTEEN so I can go to the after party's and so on.. It should be a day(s)/night(s) to remember!
What else has been going on: Nothing much, just College, work, home and shopping basically sums up the last month. I don't go out that much because I despise of Manchester, and that's me being pleasant. London is the place for me. Ask anyone all I talk about is how much I love London. Speaking of London then, I'm scheduled a visit to the Capital next week, that's five days to go. That's the 16th October 2009 (also the day I get paid) "Hoot Hoot" Can't wait! Then another visit on the 29th October, It's a cause to celebrate, and let off a party popper. Just Kidding. "LONDON HERE I COME BABY" x

Blown out of proportion

It's not really been my week with 'people' this week it's like everything has just been blown out of proportion in two separate occasions, leading me to really change my view on some people altogether. The most hurtful thing is when they try and pretend like 'the other day' didn't happen when they were going on all blazé about things. Which really has annoyed me quite a lot and due to this they have now seen a different side to me that even I don't like but tough luck to them for starting the commotion in the first place quite unnecessarily too.
Anyways moving forward, past the negativity I've been working quite a great deal meaning I don't really have time to come on here as much as before. 'Twitter' is like my new found friend it's amazing for keeping up to date when your on the go. "Beats 'facebook' any day!" I say. Other than that my life's functioning well as long as I keep it like that and maintain the umph in me to keep things running smooth.

Countdown is on:

1) A level results in: 5 Days
2) Payday in: 6 days
3) Nottinghill Carnival in: 15 Days

August seems to be a pretty busy month especially in the day leading back to starting college again. I can't wait for payday though it's like on top of my list for importance right now, I'm just thinking of all the things I can splash out on when I get paid and how much I can treat myself and my loved ones : ) Talking about results day is only going to make me dwell, so I shall move on from the subject pretty fast and just say a quick "Good Luck" to myself for the day that is going to determine my life "Scary stuff" For now though I'm going to browse the net for clothes or something silly like that, I shall be back pretty soon. xx

Hello dudes, sorry for this real late update, I've just been mad busy doing other things. So here goes.. I've had a long week working, had a lovely weekend and I went to the movies to watch 'The Proposal' which is a good movie! My ratings are as follows #7 and it made me feel great after watching it : ) Another thing, I still haven't managed to activate my facebook, due to being so busy though I intend on doing so tomorrow / or should I say later on today: Monday 3rd August - Though I am aware that I'm two days behind schedule " / my bad! Another thing, my payday is in like eighteen days and as you can imagine I'm trying not to but I find myself counting down the days for that money to arrive and be settled within my bank account for me to nibble at as I see fit.. (yummy) can't wait for the hard earned cash to roll on through.. other than that that's been it I will be back tomorrow to update you'se further, N'night x

Right now I'm contemplating whether going to Nottinghill Carnival is of the up most importance for me to attend this year, and I sort of find myself answering that question 'No'.. This means I will obviously be saving myself that much adored cash to spend on other more delightful things which is sounding much more pleasing. Though I am still not clear on what I'm going to do 'To be or not to be' still remains a questioned unanswered " / On a lighter topic then: Work, I worked today which was considerably quite okay. Given the sheer busyness of tonight I, myself am pretty drained so I think I'm going to rest my weary head as I've got work to attend tomorrow aswell. Night night bellas / dudes x

It's been a relatively mad day, so much has happened in the space of the day starting.. I won't bore you with the grizzly details but hey. I'm urging to re-activate my facebook which shouldn't be the case as it's so intrusive and that's one of the main reasons I deactivated my account in the first place. However August 1st 2009 will be the official (hopefully) re-activating day for me. Moving on.. Today though marks the day that my 'newly born nephew might be born' can't wait, so right now I'm just waiting for news from the hospital confirming she's had the baby. Other than that I am getting quite worked up at the moment at when I try and stick to things I try and enforce within my lifestyle, there always has to be someone who tries to interfere and stop my plans from progressing how I wish them to. It has to be one of the most frustrating things I have to deal with in everyday life.. Other than that everything's cool, though the 'Twenty Third of July' may just be a day I might live to remember for the rest of my life. I'll keep you'se posted bellas and dude. peace and love.

I've got work later on today and the SALE is on which means an extended work load for me at the cash desk if the bar code is not on the item! A frustrating process if you ask me to go and do a search on the company's system for the price. Not to worry though there's people going through much worse real life situations than my minor mishap.

Moving on then.. The reason I'm up still is because I had a nap earlier on in the night, and if I try and sleep it will be forced and I'll probably fail upon attempting that, so I won't try. I may be back later today though to post some more.. If not you know it was due to work commitments that I was tired, had a bath and went to bed. zzZ

Music, Showbiz, Music

Well I'm back to update this blog yet another day, as promised.. I've had a pretty average day, been quite lazy but hey that's not my fault! I just woke up before and right now I'm pretty bored, there really isn't nothing to do. Plus I'm having little cravings to re-activate my facebook which really isn't a good idea at the moment and time. So I think I'm just going to eradicate those thoughts from my brain right now, capeeché GONE!

'Chris Brown's Apology': I was watching the Chris Brown apology earlier as this has been hot showbiz gossip on my twitter quite recently (well over the last day or so if I was precise) and I gathered he was extremely sorry for his actions but more importantly I thought it would be better if I knew what he was apologising for, fare enough he beat Rihanna up, but WHY? I'm not condoning his actions but I believe I really do not know the circumstances behind the beat up for me to judge and/or to draw my own conclusions. Though I would like to say that beating women is not acceptable at all, whatever the circumstances, though he seems to be dealing with his anger so good luck to him with that. However I do not believe that he should be wiped away from the music industry due to this unfortunate mishap with Rihanna, everybody makes mistakes as far as I'm concerned and it's not as if he beat her to death, there's music artists out there that have killed many people before yet we as a nation still condole their music, so why the conspiracy to shut Chris Brown out of the music game? That really wouldn't be necessary, if you ask me!
Whilst were still on the subject of music: 'Beyoncé - Sweet Dreams' is the absolute song for me at the moment, it inspires me beyond belief, truly a talented woman. 'Mariah Carey - Obsessed' I finally got to see the video today on the sky+ box for the first time, as YouTube won't let me see it as it's not a video available in the United Kingdom (funny stuff) - and I was totally amused as I sang along to the song. Due to the fact an Eminem lookalike features in the video, I mean Eminem must feel ridiculed when he sees the video because it's absolutely blatant that he's the subject of which the song was written. Though I believe he has no one but himself to blame since he has so called 'lied' about having gone out with her and slept with her.. (Who knows hey)?

MICHAEL JACKSON - I really do not know why people will not leave the legend to rest, some people are just so shallow and so caught up with other peoples' business and really do not have any

Back to Manchester.

I'm back home now, after a beautiful weekend in the capital, LONDON! It was absolutely fantastic, the hotel was lovely and clean, though the same can hardly be said for the people that stay there.. I think it was Saturday evening we were on the bed talking and all of a sudden we could hear groans coming from the room next door, it was absolute unbelievable stuff, the girl was literally screaming all sorts of sounds. I mean if you're going to engage in such activity, at least be aware that there are others next door.. when I laughed and kept on laughing out loud the noises began to

stop! I'll leave that story there as I'm still in shock..
Saturday -

Went to Brixton to this hair shop where I found the people in there remotely quite rude, as they watched my every move

throughout my whole time being in there. Very uncomfortable shopping, then lunch at KFC.

After that we went to get my nails done, ever so cheap, paid £20 - and I'm happy with the end product so thumbs up to Miss' Chin the lady that done my nails (woo hoo) Then we soon made our journey back to the hotel suite, taking a bus as rail replacement considering the 'Victoria Line' was closed..

Then came the noises from next door, and then later on that night we went to Nando's and went all out, so much so I got so ready to eat the food that I practically tried to get it all down, until I began to feel hot and bothered and almost like I was going to be sick. So I stopped and left the food. (Which I was not happy about as quite a lot of it went to waste)

Sunday -
First Destination of the day was 'Marble Arch Station - West End - Oxford Street'. Here's what I wore:

All in all the day was amazing although it rained a little, still enjoyed every moment of it.
Later that evening we went back to Manchester, but hey:

I'm so tired right now, I went bed at like 6:30am this morning and got up at like 11:00am as I was awakened by a phone call! A very rude person who decided to ring and not stop ringing until I picked up the phone, so much so that the ring tone nearly went through the whole song on my phone.. (Yes I'm talking that long). Then I got up had a shower and all the morning do darr's then I needed to leave the house (because I was still at D's house). As my stomach was doing back flips I decided to do something about it. McDonald's sprang to mind almost immediately but the rain when I stepped out the house was ever so off putting!
So I ended up going to the chippy when I got home to feed my stomach's needs, then I came home. Mind you I should be packing right now as it's one day to go until it's time for LONDON.. my mini weekend break away (go me)!
I really cannot wait until I get there, as much as I'm tired right now I think I'll be too excited to even sleep which is not good news because I need to be energetic from the moment I get there.. So I can be off and out of that hotel as soon as possible. No time to waste at all.. may go for a nap now though, if I update this blog again tonight I shall be writing about my must haves in which you should definitely pack on any (away from home break) until then bellas/dudes night x

Early start to a long day

Good Morning,
It's currently 9:40am and I have no idea as to why I've waken up so early.. as I am still tired " / Though I thought why not come and update my blog seeing as I'm here.
Today's plans include: Going to work and then to D's house. Order Chinese (yummy in my tummy), play on the wii and sleep there until Thursday.. I'll keep you'se posted later on in the day, if possible. As for now, I'm off to try and sleep again.

Right now I'm quite annoyed as a blog I posted yesterday is no longer viewable. I seemed to have deleted it by accident, which took me quite a while to do in the first place! I really am not wasting any more time re-writing it, pfft!

Early morning boredom

Sat here so bored it's unreal... It's like 12:27am and I can't get to sleep becuase it's too hot. So my only option is to be online and watch television. All I can think about is going to london which is in like fifteen days from now. I'm literally boring myself counting down the days now.
Somebody save me from this boredom phase i'm going through right now!

Today I'm going to deactivate my facebook account hopefully, due to it being to addictive and just wanting to get away from the "public watch forum" which is how i view it. Another reason is because it's the 1st july and i feel a fresh start is in order.
Besides that today i plan to stay indoors and just laze about. May go to the park later but that isn't exactly guarenteed.

If anything else pops up I'll be sure to come back and write it.. until then bellas speak soon!
